What to check before you trust any astrology app
There are four things you can verify in an afternoon, and almost nobody does. Does the app publish which ayanamsa it uses? Does it say whether Rahu is the mean node or the true node? Can you tell what it stores about you? And does it contradict itself if you ask the same question twice in different sessions?
Those four questions separate products more sharply than any feature list. We wrote the answers for Vedikks in public on the method page, and turned the same four questions into an open test protocol in the consistency benchmark. Ask them of every app you try, including this one.
What Vedikks actually does
You enter your name, date, time and city of birth. Vedikks calculates your chart server-side, shows your lagna, Moon, nakshatra, yogas and dasha timeline, and then opens Ask the Stars, where you can ask anything in plain language and get an answer tied back to specific chart factors.

The part most apps get wrong
Ask a typical astrology app about the year ahead and you often get a paragraph that would fit anyone: a little career, a little love, a lucky colour. That is not a reading. It is a horoscope column with your name on top.

Why an India-first product is different
Most Indian astrology questions are Vedic by default: Kundli, lagna, nakshatra, mahadasha, Sade Sati, muhurat, guna milan. A product built on the tropical zodiac has to translate before it can answer, and the translation loses the timing systems that make Jyotish useful.
Vedikks is sidereal from the calculation upward. Where the classical sources genuinely disagree with each other, and they often do, we say so instead of picking one and sounding certain. What it costs and what happens to your data
The chart, the forecasts and the questions are free today. There is no card, nothing to cancel, and a fair-use cap of 30 questions an hour. If paid plans are ever introduced, the price will be on this site before anything is charged.
Your birth details and conversations are stored so the chart can be recalculated and the astrologer can refer back. Which database, which vector store, which model provider and which analytics tool are all named in the privacy policy rather than covered by the word "secure".
What this page does not claim
- This page does not claim Vedikks is the most accurate astrology app in India. Nobody can claim that honestly; interpretation quality is not measurable by a rubric.
- The chart calculation is checkable and the interpretation is not. Swiss Ephemeris can tell you where Saturn was to the arcsecond. It cannot validate a claim about your career in 2027.
- Astrology here is guidance and reflection, not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal or financial care.

Which AI astrology app should I choose in India?

Does Vedikks use Vedic astrology or Western astrology?
Vedic. The chart is sidereal, calculated with the Lahiri ayanamsa. A tropical Sun, Moon and ascendant are also computed so a Western comparison is possible, but every reading is built on the sidereal chart.
Do I need an exact birth time?
It helps a great deal, because the lagna and therefore every house depends on it. Without it, sign-level and dasha themes still work but house-specific reading does not. The Kundli page explains what survives an uncertain time.
